As our County Council prepares to set up the Maui Island Plan for the next decades, an enthusiastic group was informed by planner Dave Michaelson, and GPAC members Jeanne Skog and Stacie Thorlakson of its current status via oral & visual presentations. Additional information was offered by Lucienne De’Naie & Dick Mayor who also were active members of GPAC. A detailed report will be offered in next week’s Maui Weekly.

The 11/17 meeting, the last for the year, will focus on election of the 2011 board of directors, as well as discussion of the current reduced school classroom time necessitated by teacher furloughs & layoffs due to budget constraints.
