Very Few Participate in DLNR Hearing on Honuaula (Wailea 670) Natural Habitat

The scheduled public hearing by the Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) concerning the “Habitat Conservation Plan” for Honua’ula, formerly named Wailea 670, development project was sparsely attended last evening (3/4/13) at the Kihei Community Center. While part of the reason may have been public apathy, the major traffic jam from the fatal accident in the area, (see prior post) was more likely the major reason so few attended.
