The Planning Committee is the long range planning arm of the KCA and reports to the Board of Directors. It participates in planning the future of the South Maui Community. This planning includes but is not limited to development of desirable standards and goals for infrastructure, architecture, land use, coastal resources, utility service, transportation, recycling, and shoreline preservation. The committee is charged with review of changes to the General Plan and the Kihei/Makena Community Plan, as well as future projects for transportation, drainage, water supply, sewage treatment and reuse and any major projects that may impact these areas.
